Ph buffers are used to calibrate ph meters, this needs to be done regularly to ensure you ph meter is reading correctly as failure to do this defeats the whole point of using a ph meter in the first place.
Growth Technology PH buffer 4 and 7 solutions are of a known and fixed PH, which are used to calibrate your PH meter and should be done on a regular basis to ensure ongoing accuracy from the meter.
Pour out a small amount to use for calibration and remember to discard the used solution when finished, do not pour it back into the container as it will contaminate your new solution
. First use PH buffer 7 solution to calibrate your meter to neutral, once this is done we recommend you then use PH buffer 4 to calibrate your meter to this level, this will give you a two point calibration and be far more reliable than just calibrating to one.

This bio nova coco brick block of compressed coconut results into 10 liters of ready-to-use coconut substrate after adding 3 liters of water to it. Furthermore, its volume will increase approximately tenfold. As a result of its initial size, the substrate is fairly easy to transport.
Compared to regular peatsubstrate (potting soil) coconut substrate has a great number of benefits, which are: – it is easy to use – it has the low EC value of < 0.4 mS/cm – it has the ideal pH value of 5.8 – it stimulates a perfect root development – the coco substrate is not compact which makes it easy to drain – it is a light product: 85 kg/m3 (peat substrate weighs 125 kg/m3) – coconut has a good and swift water absorption – coconut substrate can be re-used – the use of coconut often leads to a higher yield compared to other substrates This substrate is thoroughly washed out and treated for diseases, vermin and weeds. Moreover, it contains special additives in order to assure a TOP result.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1 Fill a bucket or tank with 3 liters of water 2 Let one block of BN Coco-brick swell up in the water 3 Stir the mixture thoroughly after about 30 minutes and you will have approximately 10 liters of ready-to-use substrate. The BN Coco-Bricks are packed per 6 pieces in a carrier bag or per 24 pieces in a box. Use the special BN Coco Nova fertilization scheme during the growth in order to properly adminster nutrients and minerals.

Vapourtek neutralises strong odours. However, it doesn’t replace carbon filters in a growing environment, but can be useful in dealing with odours from adjoining rooms.
The electronically controlled Optimum 4000 features a quiet fan that moves air through the unique Vaportek cartridge. A convenient control switch allows you to precisely control output with 10 settings. A green neon indicator light shows when the unit is operating. Odours are neutralised by the patented Vaportek system, which features a “breathing” membrane containing an exclusive mixture of non-toxic essential oils. Deodoriser vapour is released as airflow passes over the membrane sealed inside the replaceable cartridge. The Optimum 4000 neutralisers malodours instead of masking them with an overpowering fragrance. The cartridges are easily replaced and will remain effective for up to three months. The non-toxic Optimum replacement cartridge is sealed for easy use, eliminating problems associated with gels, liquids and pressurised sprays
Vaportek odor control systems employ a proprietary compound of select natural oils. With the membrane systems, oil compounds are hermetically sealed into specially formed membranes that permit the oil to breathe through the surface of the envelope as a vapor. The disk systems use a special fiber element that is impregnated with the same natural oil blends as the membranes. Both systems rely on convection to carry the vapor quickly wherever air circulates—whether diffused passively or through the use of electrical or battery-powered machines.
About Vaportek
Vaportek’s compound is an odor neutralizer. It modifies the olfactory nature of unwanted odors to a point of odor disappearance. When two substances of given concentrations are mixed, the resulting odor may be far less intense than that of separate components and not be perceptible. This is the principle behind odor modification or neutralization, and the basis for Vaportek’s odor-neutralizing products
When molecules of the several constituents of the Vaportek compound volatize into air, they react with the odor-producing elements of the odorous molecule. The portion of the molecule that contributes the odor may be aldehyde, amine, diamine, sulfide, lactone, carboxylic acid, ester, carbylamine, ketone or other carbons. These are highly reactive and are neutralized, or made inactive, by the interaction with the ingredients of the Vaportek compound. The Vaportek compound is effective because of its intrinsic wide spectrum of neutralizing activity, combined with its high mobility in air and ability to penetrate porous substances such as wallboard, wood, carpeting, cement, insulation and others to permanently neutralize imbedded odors.
